For the benefit of Louie Campos of Encore Music, the local music community of Albuquerque is presenting a concert/dance event at the El Rey Theater, July 31^st, 2010. Local musicians, businesses, food vendors and artists will be donating their time and talent to the festival. Proceeds from this event will go directly to Louis Campos. Medical expenses for both Louie and his son Alejandro are only a small part of the Campos family’s bills. As a result of these expenses and the current economic situation, Encore Music has been forced to close their doors.

Louie and his store have supported the local music community for the past thirty years. The availability of used and vintage instruments, old parts, accessories and his valuable advice have been of considerable use to us all. His participation in the Albuquerque Folk Festival and the SW Picker’s Santa Fe Banjo and Fiddle Contest have helped make these festivals what they are today
